The Effects of Soot Oxidation on Wall Ash Particle Diameter and Porosity in a Channel of a Diesel Particulate Filter
In this work, the effects of soot oxidation on wall ash properties, i.e. ash particle diameter and wall ash porosity were investigated using the Diesel Particulate Generator. In addition, experimental device was created to simulate the wall ash formation during the active regeneration in a channel of a Diesel Particulate filter. Based on these experimental results, the effects of soot oxidation on wall ash particle diameter and wall ash porosity were modeled.
