INFLUENCE OF WATER TEMPERATURE ON THE BEHAVIOR OF FLOATING CRUDE OIL

DER EINFLUSS DER WASSERTEMPERATUR AUS DAS VERHALTEN SCHWIMMENDER ROHOELE

Some of the partial processes which determine the behavior of crude oil floating on water are not related to temperature. Others are influenced by temperature as far as extent and speed of their development are concerned, but compared to the effects of concurrent other factors, this influence is of minor importance. Finally, there are also some partial processes which are known to be favored at low water temperatures. Author draws conclusions in particular with regard to the efficiency of various oil control agents and methods.
