Bicycle train intermodality: exploring mode choice decisions and mode shift potential

Urban densification and population growth is a global challenge placing substantial pressures on existing transport networks. The need to maintain mobility options and enhance accessibility is paramount. Promoting intermodal travel is a unique way to deal with such stressors, particularly combining cycling and rail travel. However, little is known about the factors affecting the choice of this travel option. This thesis aimed to address this knowledge gap.
