PROPERTIES OF HITACHI VOID-FREE FRP
A new type of void-free, fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) developed by a special mold process is described. With no voids in their structure, this FRP features superior electrical properties and low mositure absorption. Also, made of epoxy resin with high thermal stability, the new product shows outstanding weight loss characteristics in the heating process, and is superior in dimensional stability. Also described are some examples of its application to electric machines which has brought about an appreciable improvement in machine reliability.
