The problem of the eutrophication of bay and harbor waters, caused by dredging operations, is discussed. Through dealing with a sample problem. the author explains what eutrophication is and what causes it. The author also describes the theoretical basis of information relating to this problem, and then analyzes the present situation and offers some suggestions for the near future.
