BRUNEI LNG PROJECT AHEAD OF SCHEDULE
Two of five liquefaction trains handling 300 MMscfd of feed gas are operating at the Lumut, Brunei, Borneo, LNG plant of Brunei LNG Ltd. Two more of like size will be operational by year-end. Fifth train will come on stream in 1974, boosting total capacity to 750 MMscfd for the $200-million project. Paper shows and discusses the flowsheet of the LNG plant and describes the liquefaction process, product storage, as well as the shiploading installation, ecompassing two 18-in. stainless steel loading lines, each about 2.5 mi long.
