A SINGLE POINT MOORING OR TOWING STRUCTURE, ESPECIALLY FOR A TANKER
A single point mooring or towing structure, especially for a tanker, comprises a fixed element; a head having first and second rotatable parts; and a weight, supported by a number of pairs of ropes, the ropes of each pair connected to first and second parts so that rotation of the parts lifts the weight by increasing the angle between the ropes of each pair to provide an increasingly strong force.
