DOWNHILL SLUMPING IS LIMITED IN A SHUTDOWN SLURRY PIPELINE
Downhill slumping is limited in a shutdown slurry pipeline by placing along the sloping portions of the pipe devices for injecting impervious bodies into the pipeline which limit downward movement of the slurry solids under gravity.
