ANHYDROUS LIQUID AMMONIA IS TRANSPORTED WITH A LIQUID HYDROCARBON THROUGH A PIPELINE

Anhydrous liquid ammonic is transported with a liquid hydrocarbon through a pipeline to a terminal by dissolving the ammonia in the hydrocarbon, injecting the solution into the pipeline, maintaining the pressure of the line above the bubble pressure of ammonia, and flowing the solution through the line to a terminal. Ammonia is thus transported with waxy crude at 120 F and 286 psia or the equivalent.
