BOSOZOKU (HOT RODDERS' CLAN) AND CAR-ORIENTED YOUTH

The Bosozoku pattern in western Japan was investigated from the perspective of differences in social or cultural structure as well as in main characteristics of human nature between east and west. Also we inquired into the problems of Bosozoku in connection with car-orientedness of youth and revealed what aspects of individual psychological structure have strong influence on this nature. Based upon its result, we examined the possibility of making an estimate of the excessive degree of car-orientedness in its early stage. And there is a need in the future to develop programs for excessively car-oriented people to enter into traffic society.
