Analysis of Improvement Effect of Thermal Sensation via Seat Ventilation System
Ventilation seat is equipped for both saving energy of the air-conditioning system and thermal comfort of the passenger. The improvement effect of the ventilation seat on the thermal comfort needs to be evaluated quantitatively in order to find the better operating condition. In the present study, the human-subjective experiment has been performed and the amount of the sensible and latent heat transfer has been identified. The results showed the amount of the latent heat transfer was two-times larger than the sensible heat transfer when the human subject had the thermal sweating. After a lapse of 20 minutes from the ventilation seat strongly ON, the thermal sensation vote achieved thermal-neutral state.
