Study about Measuring Transportation Accessibility of Guanzhong Urban Region and Its Relationship with Regional Economy

This paper uses a gravity model, high-speed rail superposition effect and factor analysis method to measure the traffic accessibility and economic development level of 90 counties in the Guanzhong urban region, and uses linear regression and a coupling coordination degree model to reveal the intrinsic relationship between them. The results show that, except for a few counties, the spatial pattern of economy and accessibility is consistent, which is represented by the circle structure with Xi’an as the core to the periphery; the level of economic development and accessibility have a high degree of linear fit and coupling; 71% of the counties are in a state of reluctant coordination and slight disorder. The Guanzhong urban region should pay attention to the coordinated development of economy and transportation, promote the construction of inter-city transportation infrastructure to improve the accessibility level, and promote the rapid development of county economy.
