Optimization of Railway Collection and Distributing Service Network Based on Comprehensive Cost

Unreliable delivery times and the low profitability of railway freight enterprises have become the key factors restricting freight railway development. Based on the existing technology for the preparation of freight train marshalling plans, this paper analyzes the organization and operation of direct trains departing from the loading site and proposes operating conditions. For the remaining traffic flow departing from the loading site on a daily basis, after the direct trains, this paper shows an income method to improve efficiency and increase the revenue of railways. For the marshalling plan, the hourly cost of the assembly car, the unit cost of freight car adaptation, and the specific cost for the consumption time in the process of the flow of the car is estimated and the optimization model group of the railway collection and distribution service network is established. The accuracy of the model is verified with a small-scale example using CPLEX.
