Research on Construction Method and Application of Autonomous Driving Test Scenario Database

With the development of autonomous driving technology, autonomous vehicle has become a popular technology field in the automotive industry. Compared with a traditional vehicle, the complexity of structure and function of the autonomous vehicle is increasing dramatically, and the potential safety fields and scenarios are also significantly increasing. The autonomous vehicle will be comprehensively evaluated by the combination of simulation tests, proving ground tests, and real-world tests. The test scenario database is particularly important as the input of the test of the autonomous vehicle. This paper studies the way of combining the operational design domain and the SOTIF to classify the test scenario database, puts forward the construction method of each scenario and the method of using simulation test to select the dangerous scenarios to test in the proving ground test and performs the proving ground test to verify the simulation test results and the construction method and application of autonomous driving testing scenario database.
