Highways England 2018 National Accreditation Trial for Sideway-Force Skid Resistance Devices

Because reliable survey data are crucial to road network maintenance, Highways England holds annual accreditation trials for its Sideways Force Skid Resistance devices supported by quality assurance for the devices. The survey devices must meet the obligatory trial criteria to be allowed to perform accredited surveys on public roads. This report covers the 2018 trial run by TRL Limited, held on the HORIBA-MIRA proving ground, 10-12 April 2018 and the Longcross test track on April 13, 2018.
