The bicycle school as a local answer to transport poverty

De fietsschool als lokaal antwoord op vervoersarmoede

Generally speaking, transport poverty is about people 'not getting there' such as at work, at school, with friends and family or even at the doctor. For many people in transport poverty, the bus and their own feet are the only options for getting around. The Cycling School of Mobiel 21 has been helping adults learn to cycle for 8 years and thus better find their place in society. The results make it clear, cycling can change lives. Local agents and civil servants in the field of work, mobility, integration, welfare and health find many solid reasons in this article to start a Cycling School.
