RAPID CHARGING OF LEAD-ACID BATTERIES FOR ELECTRIC-VEHICLE PROPULSION AND SOLAR-ELECTRIC STORAGE
A survey of the various charging techniques that are available and that have been used extensively for lead-acid batteries is presented. Also, descriptions of newer techniques involving gas evolution-controlled charging are included. An evaluation of fast charge approaches, with an analysis of battery state equations, is presented.
