MOTORING AND MOBILITY FOR DISABLED PEOPLE
The book discusses the personal mobility through the use of specially converted cars for the disabled driver. Guidance is provided on choosing the right type of car, the various types of adaptations commercially available, special regulations, driving lessons, driving tests and advice on general motoring problems. While it is appreciated that disabled drivers only represent a very small percentage of the market, it is felt that certain modifications for this type of driver, such as ease of control accessibility, might also be appreciated by other drivers. Manufacturers brochures could also contain more details of car dimensions of interest to the disabled driver. The book also details a wide range of cars currently available and notes features or possible modifications suitable for disabled drivers. (TRRL)
