PLAN TO IMPROVE TRANSPORTATION SERVICES FOR THE ELDERLY IN ORANGE, SEMINOLE AND OSCEOLA COUNTIES

Recognizing the need for improved transportation services for the elderly living within Orange, Seminole, and Osceola Counties, Florida, a planning study was undertaken to more specifically identify their needs and develop recommendations to respond to these needs. A demonstration project was initiated to increase mobility of the elderly in the study area and in doing so, increase their opportunity to participate more fully in obtaining and using the services and facilities available within the community.
