A STUDY OF ROAD MAINTENANCE STANDARDS, COSTING AND MANAGEMENT: SUMMARY
This book, which is a brief introduction to the study, is one of three books published to promote an awareness of current developments in road maintenance management. The study was initiated to produce guidelines for use by state road authorities in establishing appropriate maintenance standards, costing maintenance work, developing a system to determine the adequacy of the year's maintenance activity, budgeting for road maintenance within the total road system, with allowance for inflation, and overall management of maintenance operations.
