EXPERIMENTS WITH ROAD HUMPS, BUMPS, ELEVATED PAVEMENTS FOR PEDESTRIANS, AND RUMBLE STRIPS
FORSOEK MED HUMPER, DUMPER, OPPHOEYDE GANGFELT OG RUMLE- FELT
The report deals with experiments with various speed reducing methods on several roads in the county of Vestfold, from autumn 1978 till autumn 1979. The methods discussed are: road humps, bumps, elevated pavements for pedestrians, and rumble strips. The project was sponsored by the public roads administration, who was particularly interested in experiences with the construction and winter maintenance of such arrangements. (TRRL)
