A MODIFIED THEORY FOR UNDER-REAMED BORED PILES
An attempt is made to develop a modified design procedure for single, double and multi-under-reamed bored piles to compute the ultimate loads. The basis, use and limitations of the procedure are also explained. The ultimate loads computed by the modified theory are compared with the ultimate loads calculated by the existing theories. Based on this, discussions, conclusions and recommendations for future investigations are presented. (TRRL)
