VERIFICATION TEST OF JET INDUSTRIES ELECTRA-VAN 1000P
The Electra-Van 1000P is a Chrysler Corp. pickup truck which has been converted to an electric vehicle. It was tested as part of a Department of Energy demonstration program. The Electra-Van 1000P performance test results are presented. The 1000P is powered by 24 6-volt lead acid batteries through an SCR Controller to a 37-hp electric motor. It has a manual 4-speed transmission and front disc and rear drum brakes. It does not have regenerative braking.
