Carefully developed and manufactured synthetic lubricants can provide substantial energy savings potential and cost-effective performance in heavy-duty trucks. They can save fuel, relative to mineral oil based products, and provide excellent low temperature fluidity for cold-weather starting and engine protection. Their high temperature stability results in lower oil degradation and more consistent viscosity in service. Extended drain intervals are made possible, and compatibility with conventional lubricants and seal materials is maintained.
