CONTROL STATION OF THE SUBWAYS IN VIENNA (AUSTRIA)
DIE LEITSTELLE DER U-BAHN WIEN
The necessity of economic operating management and quick intervention in the case of failure require the combination of all operating and technical installations within a central directing station. The control station of the Viennese subway system is described where all messages and the control of the entire power supply, the central station monitoring, the telecommunication installations and the centralized control box with remote control and the central control section are combined. Use is made of the most modern techniques.
