DATA PROCESSING FOR PRIVATE TRANSPORT

Future possibilities of applying data processing are discussed in the light of traffic development. Possible ranges of application for the improvement of the traffic flow and an increase in road safety arise in the following areas: information for the road user, traffic-dependent control measures on stretches of highway, in parts of the network and at junctions, the relief of the driver from certain functions when driving his vehicle. Problems of a technological, traffic engineering, economic and traffic law nature are referred to. (TRRL)
