IMPACT TEST WITH TEST DRIVER; MORE REALISM ATTAINED
CRASH-VERSUCH MIT TESTFAHRER. DIE WIRKLICHKEIT IST BESSER
A series of impact tests were carried out by the test driverrauno aaltonen using vehicles of the Audi 80 type. Impact speeds of 50 km/h involved body work damage which required repairs costing between dm 4000 and dm 6000 per vehicle. It was also established that the maximum acceleration valuesof the test person were considerably lower than those measured using dummies and the same accident data. (TRRL)
