ANALYSIS OF BEAD UNSEATING MECHANISM OF PASSENGER-VEHICLE TUBELESS TIRES
The paper discusses one of the problems concerning the safety of tubeless tyres, namely that of bead unseating. The authors attempt to identify the mechanism in order to develop tyres and rims of increased safety. In the examination of movements in the bead area, observations were made of bead unseating in both stationary and rotating tyres. Photographs were taken using a high-speed camera of bead unseating of tyres in motion. (TRRL)
