REACTION THRUST FROM A VEHICLE RADIATOR

The author considers an analysis of the forces exerted on the cooling radiator of a car engine by an air flow drawn through it. It is considered that such forces may be of value in utilising a reaction force to assist in propelling the vehicle, or at least in reducing drag. Equations present expressions for calculating the dynamic thrust action of the air flow on a radiator and reaction of the vehicle. (TRRL)
