REMOTE CONTROLLED AND COMPUTERIZED WARNING SYSTEM FOR ROCKFALLS
SYSTEME AVEC ORDINATEUR POUR LE SUIVI A DISTANCE DU RISQUE D'EBOULEMENT
The movements of unstable masses are measured by position transducers. They are transformed into electric quantities and communicated to local micro-computer terminals which are fed autonomously by solar panels and are fitted to operate between -40 degrees C and +85 degrees C. All measures are transmitted by modem and/or radio link to a main computer for data processing and are visualized on tabulates. When movements exceed the prefixed tolerance limits, prearranged warning systems are activated.
