BLASTING COURSAVY ROCKS, CANTAL, FRANCE

DYNAMITAGE DES ROCHERS DE COURSAVY, CANTAL, FRANCE

This example deals with a mica schist rich in sulphureous minerals, giving-in contact with water-an intense weathering involving the instability of rock masses. This is the reason why the Coursavy rock, the base of which being widely undermined, must be dynamited: investigations were realized on the weathering process, the dynamiting and the object of a rock retaining system.
