PLANT ECONOMICS: AN ECONOMICAL "ONE FUEL" POWER PLANT

A power plant consisting of a medium-speed diesel engine, no auxiliary diesel engines, and an advanced waste heat recovery system with steam auxiliary power generation is described. The capital cost of the steam auxiliary system is compared with diesel systems. Fuel costs for steam and diesel power plants are analyzed. Order from NSFI as No. 22449.
