AUSTRALIAN EXPERIENCE WITH A LOCAL AREA TRAFFIC MODEL
This paper summarizes some recent Australian experience with a new model for traffic assignment in small area networks. The application of the model for use in small-area traffic analysis is described and illustrated by two examples. The model has proven to be useful for studies of traffic impacts in small parts of an urban area and in the comparison of alternative traffic-environmental management schemes.
