DUBLIN & CORK -- BUILDING FOR THE FUTURE
Plans for developing the facilities of both the ports of Dublin and Cork are now at advanced, but differing, stages. The first two phases of Cork's new construction programme are now nearly completed, and the final phase is due to begin next year. At Dublin, work is expected to begin on a land reclamation project early next year and the Port and Docks Board is also in the process of re-organising the stevedoring system.
