INTERACTION OF VEHICLE OCCUPANTS IN IMPACT TESTS
GEGENSEITIGE BEEINFLUSSUNG VON FAHRZEUGINSASSEN IN AUFPRALLVERSUCHEN
The interaction of several vehicle occupants was investigated in various impact situations (front, rear and side impacts). Results of the tests led to the following recommended measures: stronger seat stops, greater rigidity in the backs of front seats, the inclusion of energy-absorbing areas in the backs of seats, lateral upholstering of the space between the seats and the inclusion of energy-absorbing areas on the insides of the vehicle.
