CONCRETE NOISE BARRIERS. NEW SYSTEMS MADE OF SMALL AND LARGE ELEMENTS

Ten different systems of noise barriers made of concrete or concrete units are proposed and described both as regards their construction and their method of operation. These include walls which are more or less absorbent as well as reflecting walls. Some are made of precast concrete units or concrete units which are joined together and are, in some cases, planted with vegetation. Other systems are made of concrete panels with or without absorbent fixings attached. In the case of each system the dimensions and the most important particulars for the user are reported. (TRRL)
