SUPERPLASTICISED FLUID CONCRETE
SUPERPLASTIFICIRANI TEKUCI BETON
The aim of the article is to acquaint the public with the use of superplasticisers - superfluidfactors. The development and functioning of superplasticised fluid concrete in certain cases are briefly surveyed. The authors present the results of their own experiments with this material. The experiments have been performed with different sorts of superplasticisers and the results have been compared with those achieved in other parts of the world. The influence of superplasticisers on fresh concrete, on curing time and on the duration of its workability has been investigated. The necessary consistency of slump as well as the optimum mix design of the basic concrete when adding superplasticisers are indicated. The experiments have shown that the hardness and elasto-plastic properties of the already stiffened superplasticised concrete do not differ from those of the basic concrete. Their use increases concrete density and decreases porosity, thus prolonging durability under aggressive action. Resistance to frost and salt action has not been fully determined. (TRRL)
