RHEOLOGICAL MODEL OF THE MAXWELL-NORTON TYPE FOR ROAD BITUMEN
UN MODELE RHEOLOGIQUE DU TYPE MAXWELL-NORTON POUR LE BITUME ROUTIER
Using experimental results, the authors propose A rheological model for road bitumen of the Maxwell-Norton type. The latter is a specific application of the model proposed by Lemaitre to describe the quasi-static evolution of various hot metals. In the case of relaxation it is governed by a differential equation similar to that obtained by dron for synthetic bitumens. Dron already observed the analogy between that equation and an already well known equation in chemical kinetics. The model proposed also takes into account results of cold-hammering tests. (TRRL)
