KITCHIN'S ROAD TRANSPORT LAW 1980. A SUMMARY OF THE LEGISLATION AFFECTING THE CONSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT AND USE OF MOTOR VEHICLES

This new edition incorporates all the additions and changes made to transport law in the past 12 months. The main changes include new regulations which require prescribed identifying labels to be carried on road tankers transporting hazardous loads and the provisions which deal with the simplified record books which can be used by goods vehicle drivers on local transport operations. The section on removal and disposal of vehicles has been rewritten and enlarged, and those dealing with community bus services, P.S.V. lost property and EEC inter-state passenger services have also been brought up to date. An entirely new chapter deals with drivers and vehicles from abroad. The data are presented under the following chapter headings: construction of vehicles, dangerous goods, driver licensing, driver's hours and records, lighting, maintenance, motorways, operators' licensing, plating and testing, powers of police, examiners, etc, P.S.V. fitness, equipment and use, P.S.V. conduct, P.S.V. licensing, special types vehicles speed limits, use of vehicles, vehicle excise licensing, weight limits, and visiting vehicles and drivers.
