INTEGRATING SAFETY APPROACHES
Casualty figures for the oil and gas activity in the North Sea are reviewed. The accident record of the UK Continental Shelf and the Norwegian sector of the North Sea for the period 1975-79 suggests a differentiation between operational and occupational factors. The principal route to safer working conditions is outlined.
