The Roberts Bank Terminal near Vancouver, B.C. has 65-foot depth alongside. The present 10-year-old facility is being utilized beyond its designed capacity. Designed for an annual flow-through of nine million tons a year, Roberts Bank handled a record 11.5 million tons in 1980. Following five years of intense study and hurdling of environmental and other obstacles, a major expansion estimated at $47.7 million finally is being launched at the coal-export facility.
