ANNUAL DIGEST OF PORT STATISTICS 1979. VOLUME 1

This annual digest is published in two volumes and provides the basic statistical information covering the main features and activities of British ports. It is divided into four sections: (1) goods traffic: commodity analysis, foreign and coastwise traffic 1979, and special traffic, Great Britain, (2) containers and roll-on traffic: foreign and coastwise, (3) passenger traffic between UK and overseas areas, and (4) manpower: covering numbers of port employees, employees and work stoppages 1979. Commodity classification and lists of ports and port authorities are contained in appendices.
