THE PROPULSION OF ELECTRIC VEHICLES
AANDRIJVING VAN ELEKTRISCHE VOERTUIGEN
During the development of propulsion systems for electric vehicles the components of the drive system have to be brought into line with one another in order that the consumption of stored energy should be as low as possible. Hence a thorough knowledge of the energy requirements of the vehicle and the characteristics of the component parts of the propulsion train is indispensable. In this paper particular attention is paid to the motor. Starting from various control systems for a separately excited DC motor all suitable propulsion trains for electric vehicles are described.
