TENDON ANCHORING IN ROCK
FORANKRING MED KABELSTAG
The use of steel tendons for rock anchoring has increased considerably and represent a new aspect of engineering for a majority of engineering geologists. The use of rock anchors involves a series of design criteria to be cleared out, and amongst these is the very important aspect of uplift capacity and fixed anchor dimensions. The paper submits a critical review of current international design philosophy in this field with reference made to the rock conditions normally found in Norway. The main topics dealt with are rock mass behaviour, interactions between rock and cement grout, and finally the interaction between cement grout and steel tendon. (Author/TRRL)
