URBAN GOODS MOVEMENT: MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS TO AN ENERGY PROBLEM

This paper singles out better management of urban goods fleets as the means of achieving cost saving and more efficient energy use by local freight transportation. Three particular areas of improvement are considered: different systems; different fuels; and a different approach.
