Compensating for ship's motion (roll and pitch) is a problem fundamental to shipboard radars. The electronic stabilization technique is described which is instrumented by maintaining a radar beam at a constant ship-stable elevation through electronic scanning of the beam in the elevation dimension as the antenna rotates through 360 degree .
