AC-DC ELECTRIC PROPULSION SYSTEM SIMULATION. PART 1

The ac-dc electric propulsion system, proposed in this paper, is composed of the diesel driven ac generator, the transformer, the rectifier and the dc propulsion motor. To obtain the fundamental characteristics and the control behaviour of the proposed system, the experimental ac-dc propulsion equipment is designed and constructed by the chopper controlled dc motor simulating the diesel prime mover, the ac generator and so on. The block diagram of the system is evaluated by simulating the transient phenomena at the crash astern operation. Order from NSFI as No. 21220.
