ADVANCED FUEL QUALITY CONTROL OPENS UP DIESEL OPTIONS
The disadvantages with too high or too low fuel oil viscosity are discussed, and a system to control the viscosity of bunker oil of varying quality is described. In the Viscotherm system, the viscosity is continuously measured, and controlled by means of a line heater. The theoretical principles involved are explained.
