Reforming America’s Transportation System: Report of the Pocantico Workshop on Governance and Institutional Reform in Transportation
This report discusses themes that emerged from a three-day February 2019 workshop organized by the Eno Center for Transportation and the Reason Foundation. The focus of the workshop was transportation governance and institutional reform. Key issues discussed included private sector roles, public-private partnerships, innovations in funding, rural mobility, transportation decision making, performance requirements, project development reform, procurement modernization, inter-agency collaboration, and retaining qualified staff.
