A multilaboratory compressive strength correlation test program was carried out in September-October, 1980 to determine i) the multilaboratory precision of the test and ii) whether laboratories testing standard concrete cylinders for the Ministry conduct the test with an adequate precision. The program involved 20 concrete laboratories and specimens with varying strength levels. It is concluded on the basis of this one round of tests that the multilaboratory coefficient of variation for the compressive strength test is not higher than 4.75 percent regardless of the strength level. One of the laboratories performed inadequately in the program. (Author)
